SAM - Sushi And Meat in Munich

Have already ordered several times from SAM and we are always thrilled. Very tasty food, beautifully prepared and delivered very quickly by guys in a good mood. Should something not be 100%, it is taken care of personally with a lot of dedication. Great service. Many thanks to SAM and Maily! :)

Worst ever! We ordered ramen and ice cream. Maybe not the best idea, the restaurant delivered and put both together. We got cold ramen and melted ice cream. The ramen came full with SALAD leaves, the egg not marinated, the broth lame and tofu tasted like old soggy wet bread. Never again!

Do not order the veggie ramen if you are in the mood to eat a proper one. The soup came ice cold and 40 mins after it was supposed to be delivered. It was packed with salad leaves (yes, salad!) and the broth literally tasted like water. Last but not least there was quinoa in it, odd South American addition to a Japanese dish, which was never mentioned in the menu. As somebody who’s allergic to quinoa, that was the end of my ramen experience from SAM. So much for trying to support restaurants in this hard time, Unfortunately will not order again.

Good food, but pretty expensive. Sushi, ramen and Asian tapas are all super tasty, and so are the dresserts. It's nice that you can mix and match your own ramen and when you order it as takeaway it comes in separate containers so that the ingredients don't get soggy. In particular the sushi is simply overpriced though, 15€ for 6 pieces of the flambé salmon sushi is just too much (although it's yummy). So deducting 1 star for this...

Sushi quality is top. The mix of traditional and creative rolls is also really good. Mayo is hidden in many dishes, which I'm not a fan of, but everything is available without it on request - even with delivery, if you just write it in the comment field.

We just can't get enough! Top sushi, Japanese tapas and much more. The range of desserts (including cakes) is surprising and fantastic. The team is incredibly nice and helpful! There are now three branches and all of Munich is supplied.

Instead of vegetarian ramen, get ramen delivered with meat. In addition, other food ordered not too convincing - with little taste. Edamame and sushi were okay. Otherwise customer service was good.

Ordered Veggie Gyoza for a vegetarian, got chicken gyoza instead. Since it’s gyoza it’s impossible to tell beforehand, my vegetarian partner bit into one before realizing it’s not vegetarian. Unacceptable mistake!

Really really nice food. The teriyaki sauce is amazing. If you're ordering (they deliver hot and on time!) save the sauce and get an extra potato salad - put sauce on some eggs and you have an amazing breakfast on top!

Nothing to do with authentic Japanese sushi but very good for what it is! Fresh fish, some vegetables came from freezer, BIG portions and taste wholesome and good. One of the best places in Munich.

Had a great pho today. Large portion and sensational in taste. You sit almost "behind the bar" because the coffee machine and the bar are on the wall and you can watch the service staff at work. The wallpaper is made of old newspapers and you sit on stools made from crates of drinks. Great idea!

Super quick and tasty. So fast that reservation time for 1:30 was too long! Great!

Very good sushi and staff really super friendly. Relaxed atmosphere, you feel welcome and comfortable here. Reservations are highly recommended, especially when it gets colder. When ordering, be sure to point out separate plates, otherwise you have to sort your sushi apart yourself and the beautiful image will suffer immensely. Definitely worth a recommendation! High price but value for money!

Real Sushi and Asiatic feeling! We needed to stay outside despite the cold and our reservation so.. if you decide to go there and dont tolerate coldness good just say you want to eat inside! But they were really nice and could organize some blankets for us :) Friendly staff and amazing food!

Really good food no matter rolls or ramen. High quality ingredients and perfect seasoning. And the portion is really sizable, too. Thumbs up from an Asian! (disclaimer: I do not know them)

Up until now, I've only ever ordered my food home and I've been happy every time. I think it's great how nice the food is served when you order it home and the taste is great too. The sushi also tastes really great. I would like more varieties :-), since I'm a vegetarian.

My food was delicious, there was actually a feeling of Japan. The sushi is also highly recommended! Deducted one point because the food did not come with my partner's ramen. Another point deduction, because the hectic bustle with the many waiters and the delivery service neglects the restaurant

Until now I have always ordered through Lieferando. What got me hooked was that you can have ramen noodles delivered to you in this restaurant? I've tried it and it tastes very tasty. I think the Mochi dessert is even better! Just a dream. So far the best I've eaten so far. I will certainly pay a visit there and eat there

Very large selection for vegetarians: ramen, bowls, sushi. Very good vegan rice bowl, decent portions. Service is very friendly, but totally missed: long waiting times, forgotten drinks. The restaurant wasn't even full. Expensive, especially the drinks. Too bad.

I repost my new rate, because my old rate was 2 years ago and the quality of Ramen is better than before. Ramen with meet is good, pork berry meet is very soft and melt in your mouth. The soup is not so intensiv but still good. "old commend" I know that my rate against Japanese restraint in Germany is severe because I’m Japanese, but there are a lot of better Japanese restraint in Munich , like Kushi-tei , Takumi , and Shoya etc. And real good restraint is always full of the guest , who come from that country. We ordered Ramen , Sashimi and Karaage, the worst was Ramen , that soup was too much water and tasted really nothing. I’m very sorry for the people who doesn’t know well what exactly real Japanese Ramen is and tested that bad one as a very first experience. Sashimi was okey ( fresh ) , karaage was also okey but nothing special. If you want to taste something more real Japanese kitchen, I recommend to go another place.

We had reserved a table for Friday evening, it was busy and since the weather was bad, everyone had to be accommodated somehow inside. It took a while, but ALL of the employees were so nice and hard-working and brought us the drinks outside. As always, the food was very good, especially the Fusion Rolls. I had to order online again yesterday ? I always find it remarkable how friendly everyone is there, even if it's super busy every time I'm there. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Great restaurant. Sushi & dumplings highly recommended. Ramen not really recommendable (if I couldn't tolerate at all, there must have been a lot of chemical additives in it - I would definitely not order it again!) Otherwise, however, very friendly staff and fish quality very good

Great ramen, great sushi. Definitely pricey, but you get great quality! Try the Westend roll, it's amazing!

Nice location, good setup, great menu... Starters are varied and quite delicious. Did not try a lot in sushi but it seems the sharing platter is supposedly worth trying (a little pricey though). Ramen bowl looked delicious - have to go back to try some. Definitely recommend it.

Best sushi place in Munich. Don’t miss out on the truffle sushi and also get one of their cocktails (Lady Killer!!).

Soup is good, sushi beautifully served. Tragically you have to wait 45 minutes (minimum) for it during rush hour and it is quite expensive. EDIT: since my first review a year ago, I must say the food has been getting greasier and more condiment laden every time I ordered. The last time I had the “Superfood Rice Bowl” and there was so much oil, condiments and rice and there, that I couldn’t really taste the tuna and other “superfoods” in there.

SAM doesn't serve dishes which I would call traditional Japanese, the meals are rather experimental Japanese-style. But the quality of the ingredients is good as is the assortment and visual style of them. The ramen noodles aren't fresh made but still higher quality than all the other "Japanese" places in Munich using very cheap instant ones. The marinated eggs and meat in the ramen were like I would expect from a true Japanese chef though. Lunch options are good value for the quality and quantity served. Staff is very friendly, service is quick.

The best place for sushi in Munich. We got take away, but think they have a nice vibe in the restaurant so next time I'll eat in. If you're not sure what to get take the fusion rolls, they were delicious.
